Alt tags. Power keywords. Metatagging. What are they? Let me start by saying that it's fascinating SEO'ing (Search Engine Optimization...using mere words to attract the search bots who then "rank" your pages) a website for example, this one.
When keywording this site, I needed to describe what I do. Generally, I prefer alternative terms like “webcrafter" as opposed to “webmaster." "Webmaster" certainly conveys a sense of power, but it feels more like power-over than power-with. Where there's a master there may be a slave and the cybernuns premise is to empower clients to manage their own websites. However, "webcrafter" is not considered to be a power keyword. "Web designer" is a power keyword. Why? Because most people would type that into the Google Search bar so you get the picture. What words would MOST people use to find you.
