CLIMBING THE SEO LADDER (Search Engine Optimization)
Google - what has now become the major Search Engine on the web - is a fully automated process that uses software known as "spiders" to crawl the web on a regular basis and find sites to add to their index. That's what "indexing" means. Now here's a revelation: the vast majority of sites listed in their results aren't manually submitted for inclusion, but found and added automatically when their spiders crawl the web.
No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google. Are you listening?
Beware of SEO eMails & websites that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a "special relationship" with Google, or advertise a "priority submit" to Google. There is no priority submit for Google. In fact, the only way to submit a site to Google directly is through their Add URL Page or through the Google Sitemaps program, and you can do this yourself at no cost whatsoever. Once your site goes Live, it may take several weeks (4-8 weeks is common) before your web site will appear on a search engine.

KEYWORDS
Using the same set of keywords on every page can be a negative thing. You need to have different keywords for each page. Many make the mistake of including keywords and descriptions that are general. It's best to craft a set of keywords & content descriptions (called, "Metatags") that reflect the content of the page. We'll talk more about this when you're ready.
